To develop this report, HSJ Advisory, part of HSJ Information Ltd (formerly Wilmington Healthcare Ltd) used Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) data to analyse admissions, age/sex of patients, treatment specialties, comorbidities, procedures, length of stay and costs from five years of HES data from 2017/2018 through 2021/2022.
