Drawing on over 30 years’ UK life sciences experience within Industry and as a consultant, Julian drives our specialist consulting team to support our clients in compliantly realising their product innovation goals to improve patient outcomes and overall population health. In over 20 years of global client consulting experience Julian has delivered over 500 business transformation and optimisation projects in the UK and 19 other countries to date.

His career began as a medical representative and moved swiftly into commercial effectiveness and strategic planning roles in pharma, where he was responsible for implementing innovative segmentation, targeting and data strategies, along with overseeing one of the first CRM and data warehouse implementations in the UK.

Following roles at Abbott, Bayer, Sanofi, and Knoll (now AbbVie), Julian formed Evantage Consulting in 2001, focusing on optimising strategy, operations and organisational structures. In 2007 he created Specialist Share Data, the first true institution level patient share by indication data service available the UK. In 2016, Evantage was acquired by HSJ Information Ltd (now HSJ Advisory) and Julian continued to build and expand the capability of the commercial consulting division.

Originally from Lancashire, Julian is married with two grown up daughters, and a has a continually growing guitar collection. Writing and recording his own music in his home studio, Julian takes inspiration from Jimi Hendrix and Orbital.
